CORCOVADO PACKAGE 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

Day 1
Transfer from Palmar Sur to Sierpe (20 minutes) where a boat will wait for transfer to Corcovado. Overnight in Corcovado
 
Day 2
After breakfast a boat will take you to the San Pedrillo Ranger´s Station of the Corcovado National Park. After registering and getting ready, you will have an interesting hike with your naturalist guide through one of the trails of the National Park searching for wildlife. You might see monkeys, coatimundis, toucans and the beautiful scarlet macaws. Also here we find some of the tallest and most impressive trees of the Costa Rican forests. Once back you can relax and enjoy the beach before a picnic lunch with ocean view. Back at the lodge. Overnight in Corcovado

 
Day 3
On the third day, after picking your snorkeling equipment from the lodge the boat will head to the exotic Caño Island. During this boat trip many times you are able to see dolphins and with a little bit more of luck you can see a whale. Once on the island your guide will offer you a hike to explore part of the interesting vegetation of this biological reserve. Afterwards, you will have enough time to snorkel around the coral reefs in search of multicolored fish. After a picnic lunch there will be plenty of time to enjoy the beach and relax before heading back to the lodge. Overnight in Corcovado (breakfast,lunch and dinner)
 
Day 4
After breakfast a boat will take you to Palmar Sur´s air strip for your flight back to San Jose.

OPTIONS OF HOTELS:

CASA CORCOVADO HOTEL

Location: The hotel is located in the Osa Peninsula next to the San Pedrillo station of Corcovado National Park. The only access to the lodge is via sea. You fly from San José to Palmar Sur and from there you continue by car to Sierpe. In Sierpe, you take a boat through the mangroves, and the final stretch is by sea.

Services: The hotel has 14 individual bungalows with ocean views. They offer comfort: beds with mosquito nets, ceiling fans, ceramic floors, living room, mini bar, safe, hammock and large closets. Each bungalow has a private bathroom, how water and elegant decor.

AGUILA DE OSA HOTEL

Location: The hotel is located on Drake Bay in the Osa Peninsula, next to Corcovado National Park and Caño Island Biological Reserve. The most common access point is flying form San José to Drake or Palmar Sur, followed by a taxi from Palmar Sur to the dock in Sierpe. From there it’s 25 miles by boat along the Sierpe River, where you can observe the mangroves until you get to the hotel.

Services:  There are 13 rooms. Each is decorated in fine woods and ceramics and has a ceiling fan, private bathroom and a view of Drake Bay and the Pacific coast. All rooms offer spacious Italian bathrooms, cathedral-style ceilings and hot water.

Facilities: Restaurant, bar, boat for different tours.

PUNTA MARENCO HOTEL

Location: Punta Marenco Lodge is located near Corcovado National Park and Punta Río Claro National Refuge. Punta Marenco is located in an area without roads in the southern Pacific region of Costa Rica, in the Osa Peninsula.

Services: The hotel has 9 rustic, comfortable bungalows located on a hilltop. Each has a private bathroom and impressive ocean and forest views.

Facilities: Restaurant, optional tours.

LAPA RIOS HOTEL

Location: Lapa Rios is located in the southern end of the Osa Peninsula, 16 kilometers from Puerto Jimenez on Carbonera Point in the province of Puntarenas. In order to arrive at Lapa Rios, you must fly from San Jose to the Puerto Jimenez landing strip, and then travel 45 minutes to the hotel.

Services: The hotel have 16 rustic, comfortable bungalows with the capacity for two queen beds (which are covered with mosquito nets) and a rollaway. They have a beautiful deck with views of the Golfo Dulce or Pacific Ocean, safe box, reading tables, chairs and a ceiling fan, private covered porch and a patio, complemented by an open-air shower.

 Facilities: Pool, farm tours and a restaurant with a capacity for 60 persons. Hotel Lapa Rios is connected to Corcovado National Park by a walkway, in Osa Peninsula.
