Location: In the heart of Monteverde, you are always verywelcome to stay in the Trapp Family Lodge, the closest hotel to the beautifulMonteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.

How to get there: The Trapp Family Lodge is located in Monteverde. If you drive toMonteverde from San Jose you need to take the Inter American Highway, the sameone that passes Juan Santamaria International Airport, and follow the signs toPuntarenas and then to Cañas and Bagaces. Stay on this road and right beforethe bridge at río Lagartos there is a gravel road to the right. At this pointyou will have travelled 100 miles (160 km) from San Jose. Take this right turnand travel 22 miles (35 km) of gravel road all the way up to Santa Elena andMonteverde. Once you get to the Village of Santa Elena you will travel 2.5miles (4 km) towards Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Once at Santa Elena youwill see a sign for Trapp Family Lodge.

Services: The hotel offers 20 rooms each with private bath and hot water. Therooms are spacious and transmit a very comfortable atmosphere. Each guest-roomhas a private balcony.
