Location: La Fortuna de San Carlos, Alajuela.

How to get there: From San Jose San Jose-Naranjo-Zarcero-Ciudad Quesada-Florencia-Tanque- La Fortuna Take the Panamerican Highway #1 North toAlajuela. You will pass the Airport and continue driving straight until you reach the sign to Naranjo on your right hand side. Turn right and continue to Naranjo downtown. As you arrive Naranjo follow the signs to Zarcero and Ciudad Quesada. Once in Ciudad Quesada, follow the signs to El Tanque and La Fortuna.

Duration: 4 hours approximately.

Facilities:  Entrance Fee to Waterfall, transportation from Arenal hotels, beverages & local guide.

Activities: A good combination between a horseback ride and a walk in the beautiful forest. An enjoyable adventure across the tropical forest and the high hills, the views of the San Carlos valley and the tropical forest surround are spectacular. After, you will leave your horse to go for a natural trail at the base of the waterfall. It will be possible to relax and swim for a moment. Enjoy of the refreshing waters of the waterfall!
