How to get there: From San Jose San Jose-Naranjo-Zarcero-Ciudad Quesada-Florencia-Tanque- La Fortuna Take the Panamerican Highway #1 North toAlajuela. You will pass the Airport and continue driving straight until you reach the sign to Naranjo on your right hand side. Turn right and continue to Naranjo downtown. As you arrive Naranjo follow the signs to Zarcero and Ciudad Quesada. Once in Ciudad Quesada, follow the signs to El Tanque and La Fortuna.

Activities: The Arenal Hanging Bridges tour takes place on a 600 acre reserve filled with lush vegetation and a variety of birds and animals which your experienced guide will help you spot. The trail itself is 1.9 miles (3.1 km) in length, crossing nine fixed bridges and 6 suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of 7 degrees so that anyone can walk it.

We recommend: Comfortable clothing, hiking shoes, insect repellent, camera, binoculars, and sunscreen (sunny days) or rain gear (rainy days).
